Your Personal Data – What Is It?:

Personal data relates to a living individual who can be identified from that data. Identification can be by the information alone or in conjunction with any other information in the data controller’s possession, or likely to come into such possession. The processing of personal data is governed by the General Data Protection Regulation (The “GDPR”) since 2018. We fully adhere to this Law and also the Data Protection Law of 1998.

Who We Are:

In this privacy policy, “I”, “we”, “us”, or “our” refers to the administrators at gospelfromhome.org

Website: gospelfromhome.org

Email: gospelfromhome@protonmail.com

By using this website you consent to the processing of the data collected about you by us in the manner and for the purposes set out below, if we so desire.

What Personal Data We Collect And Why We Collect It:

Data is collected by two means:
a) Our “Passage To Ponder” page invites comments. Data involves the user’s name and email address in order to block any further comments that are deemed highly inappropriate for a website proclaiming the gospel of The Lord Jesus Christ.

b) We use an analytics plugin, which can record user’s country, search key words, ip address, pages and automatically report emails for all statistics. However, our website, does not analyse any user’s data other than to simply operate and maintain a safe and secure website.

Cookies:

Like any other website, gospelfromhome.org uses cookies. Once you agree to allow our website, you also agree to the usage of the data it collects regarding your online behaviour, although we have no desire to do so other than to operate and maintain a safe and secure website.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a piece of information in the form of a very small text file that is placed on an internet user’s hard drive. It is generated by a web page server, which is basically the computer that operates a website. The information the cookie contains is set by the server and it can be used by that server whenever the user visits the site. A cookie can be thought of as an internet user’s identification card, which tells a website when the user has returned.

What is the purpose of cookies?

Cookies make the interaction between users and websites faster and easier. Without cookies, it would be very difficult for a website to allow a visitor to fill up a shopping cart or to remember the user’s preferences or registration details for a future visit. Websites use cookies mainly because they save time and make the browsing experience more efficient and enjoyable. Websites often use cookies for the purpose of collecting demographic information about their users. Cookies enable websites to monitor their user’s web surfing habits and profile them for marketing purposes (for example, to find out which products or services they are interested in and send them targeted advertisements)

You can choose to disable cookies through your individual browser options. More information can also be found at: aboutcookies.org.uk

Who We Share Your Data With:

We will never share your data with anyone

How Long We Retain Your Data:

Analytics records are deleted every twelve months. Data recorded by user’s comments in the “Passage To Ponder” page will be kept indefinitely – this is as long as the comment is still visible.

How We Protect Your Data:

Information is held on a password secured computer, which only two administrators have access to. We also use a state of the art “two – factor authentication” system, to which only the same two administrators have access to.

What Right’s Your User’s Have And How They Can Invoke Those Right’s:

We fully recognise that individuals on whom we hold data have a right under Data Protection Legislation to be informed, and that is why we have written this policy. Any user providing consent for use of their personal data has the following rights:
a) Right to be informed of the use of their data.
b) Right of access to the content of their data that is kept. A written request for the data will be dealt with without delay, but must be responded to within one month.
c) Right to rectify and update any incorrect or out of date information. This must be done without delay and within one month.
d) Right to object to any of the process purposes.
e) Right to ask for their data to be erased, unless it is required for a legal or safeguarding purpose.
f) Right to withdraw consent at any time.

If after reading this policy you still have questions, you can contact us for further clarification (refer to the contact options provided under the earlier heading “Who We Are”).
